Fragrance is one of the few gifts someone uses every single day. It’s also one of the easiest to get wrong. Here’s how we’d pick.

Start with who they are, not what’s popular

Think about what they already wear, or what their home smells like. Someone who reaches for sandalwood soap and filter coffee will not enjoy a sharp aquatic. Match the temperature of the person.

Pirate — sandalwood, pepper, ginger

Warm and a little sharp. For fathers, brothers, and the friend who has strong opinions about everything. Works best as an evening and winter scent.

Legend — cinnamon, dates, tonka

The most festive of the four. If you’re buying for Diwali or a wedding and you don’t know the person’s taste well, this is the safe one. Unisex.

Merci — oceanic, citrus, green floral

Fresh and easy to like. Good for younger recipients, colleagues, and thank-you gifts where something heavy would feel like too much. Unisex.

Divine — musk, vanilla, amber

Soft, warm, close to the skin. For mothers, sisters, partners — and for anniversaries, where you want something that lingers rather than announces.

When in doubt, give three

₹100 for a pack of 3. Message us on WhatsApp with your order number after checkout and we’ll wrap it before it ships. If it’s going straight to the recipient rather than to you, tell us and we’ll leave the invoice out of the box.

Gifting by occasion

• Diwali and festive — Legend, or the set of three. Order at least ten days ahead; couriers slow down through the festive weeks.
• Weddings — the set of three, wrapped. Reads as substantial without being extravagant.
• Anniversaries and birthdays — Divine or Pirate, depending on who you’re buying for. One good bottle beats three average ones here.
• Colleagues and thank-you gifts — Merci. Fresh, unisex, and hard for anyone to dislike.

One practical tip

Tell them to spray on pulse points — wrists, neck, inside the elbows — and not to rub it in. Rubbing crushes the top notes and takes an hour off how long it lasts.
